FAQ

Answers to the questions we hear most.

Do I need to speak German to apply?

Not always. Many IT and engineering roles are English-first. Healthcare and skilled trades typically require B1/B2 German — and we offer subsidized language coaching as part of the package.

How much does Fachkraft Ausland cost for candidates?

Our core placement service is free for candidates — we're paid by the hiring employer. Optional premium add-ons (e.g. priority coaching, expedited credential recognition) are transparently priced upfront.

How long does the full process take?

On average, 10–16 weeks from first call to starting your new role. Healthcare credential recognition can take longer. We give you a realistic timeline in your initial assessment.

Can my family come with me?

Yes. Spouses and children under 18 qualify for family reunification visas in parallel with your application. We handle those filings too.

What if my credentials aren't recognized in Germany?

We work with the ZAB (Central Office for Foreign Education) and professional chambers to get foreign qualifications recognized. If adaptation training is required, we connect you with accredited programs.

What happens after I arrive?

Six months of post-arrival support: Anmeldung, bank account, health insurance, tax ID, finding a GP, language classes, and check-ins with your consultant. You're not alone.
